Born and raised in The Netherlands, Erwin and Roeland Werring are both trained musicians, who grew up on classical music, jazz, rock, and soul. Erwin (vocals, sax) and Roeland (guitar) set up a studio back in 1999 when they began writing intelligent pop lyrics, financed by a lot of session work (studio & live) with a variety of acts, including legendary soul artistes Sister Sledge. The debut album incorporates everything from heavy rock, disco, electro, jazz, and soul - all blended to pop perfection and masterfully produced in Los Angeles by the legendary Mike Shipley. As a mixer, engineer or producer, Mike's records have sold in excess of 700 million units worldwide. Successes include Shania Twain, Def Leppard, Faith Hill, The Sex Pistols, AC/DC, Aerosmith, India.Arie, Tom Petty, Shawn Colvin, Green Day, The Cars, The Corrs, Van Halen and countless others. Werring's debut single, "So Strange" is an instant pop smash. Whilst taking its lead from past elements of Duran Duran and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, it manages to sound extraordinarily current and addictively catchy - all embellished in ultra-sleek music production. It's an innovative slice of modern pop music, and sure to set dance floors alight and radio ablaze. Werring dispense with the pop star names, games and stereotypes and instead deliver music with huge crossover appeal. The world of pop music is about to get a lot stranger, and much more interesting. Werring's debut single "So Strange" will be released in the USA through Bardic Records in Spring 2005. |
